About leslie

I love being a lawyer.

Family law can be a difficult area of practice. Clients call me upset, worried and sometimes, just freaking out. I am who you turn to when there is a problem with your family. I understand how difficult and sensitive these situations can be. Not only am I here to counsel you in hard times, but I'm also there to stand up for you and your family.

I love Northwest Arkansas.

There is no better place to live and practice law than Northwest Arkansas. I live in Fayetteville with my husband, Aaron. We love that this corner of our state has everything from beautiful hiking and world-class fishing to top-notch restaurants and museums, not to mention our beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. We simply couldn't love our little city more.

I started in Little Rock.

After moving to Little Rock from Pine Bluff, I graduated with honors from Mount Saint Mary Academy before attending Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where I also graduated cum laude with majors in political science and philosophy and a pre-law minor. I attended law school at the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock. I was an active law student, graduating with honors and distinction.

While in law school, I clerked for Little Rock District Court Judge Alice Lightle, and produced an extensive published work called the Arkansas Circuit Court Judges’ Benchbook. I practiced law at Howerton Law Firm in Fayetteville, and Webb Law Office in Springdale before launching Leslie Copeland Law in 2018. I became a certified attorney ad litem in 2016 and a certified mediator in 2019.

I am a leader.

I am the Past President of the Washington County Bar Association and continue to serve as a leader in my local legal community. I have served many leadership roles in the Arkansas Bar Association, including as a Trustee and as the Chair of the Family Law Section, and have twice received the prestigious Golden Gavel Award for my service to the profession. I regularly teach other lawyers through Continuing Legal Education on topics including family law case updates, legal technology, and domestic relations mediation, and have also taught classes at Northwest Arkansas Community College.

In 2024, I was named as a member of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.

I practice law in a new and better way, with you, my client, at the center of everything I do.

Come see why we're different, and become part of the Leslie Copeland Law family. I look forward to meeting you!
